The Town Clerk of Salzburg

Monika Bruckmoser

Born in 1961 in Salzburg and raised in this wonderful city, I discovered my passion for foreign languages at a young age. After graduating from high school and training in tourism, I went to France and Italy to study languages.

Back in Austria, I first worked in a travel agency, started a family and later worked as a tour guide and as a tour guide in Salzburg museums.

In 2014, I fulfilled a long-standing dream and passed the exam to become a state-certified Austrian tour guide. Since then, I have been proud to introduce interested people from all over the world and of all ages to the unique art and cultural treasures of my beautiful hometown with all its facets and fascinating stories.

You can read more about this in my book “Glücksorte in Salzburg”, published a few weeks ago by the German publisher Droste Verlag.
